The difference between marvel film's & DC film's

Write by Gerry barnaby
Welcome to Movie Knights in association with SSG Secret society of Gamers movie zone, bring you the truth & nature of these two film studio's & why you cant compare them in film format.

As of the resent Batman v superman film has come out which i have yet see but will be going on 25th march to see, i will be doing an unbaisest review on this film , but for the past 48 hours this film has had mixed reviews alot of people hating on the film ,  where other love the film or just like the film.

Now here the problem these so called hater that are hating on the film because its too dark , its too dramatic , its too bleak & gritty , its not funny.......... What excully were you expecting from this film?

Well the one problem is because your trying too compare DC film with marvel , this is your mistake right there & why you cant enjoy the film. Why you ask ?  is because DC isn't marvel period , they arnt gonna change they have always been this way in film's.

Now alot are saying well Dc isn't dark in comic books maybe not in the past 75 years no , but from what i know & seen the new 52 comic book are pretty dark from DC well some of them.

Not to mention DC has more R-rated characters then marvel does , People are trying to make out that DC film should be funny like marvel........well that cut batman out that also cuts superman because these too characters alone have pretty dark story , yet batman is more darker than superman story's.

To have Batman in a marvel style film would completely destroy the characters , that like having blade or the punisher as a pg (reference).

Batman story have always been hardcore drama with bleak dark gritty world, the character of batman would not work in a marvel type universe because he's the dark knight with a Gothic enivorment which means the story's are dark.

No one complain about Micheal Keaton batman being dark, bleak & gritty which most of it was although their were a few joke , but still a dark film.

Difference between marvel & DC

People are comparing Dc films saying they should be like marvel , but then this wouldn't work because it would give someone something else to complain about saying DC is ripping off marvel can you see what im getting at here.

Marvel is a fantasy world universe , that has a kid friendly world with violence that is not over the pg 13 mark targeted for the younger audience & fan's marvel with campy jokes that make the film very light hearted.

Dc is a real world concept universe  with Philosophy & hard-core dramatic scenes , with violent that is almost R-rated with characters that are pure evil they will kill you with warning , which make Dc a dark gritty dramatic concept in the comic book film genre.

This is the difference too which  i seriously dont know why people are trying to compare marvel with DC its doesnt make sense , its complete stupid too compare the two film style types because these are two different universe's & two different comic book styles.

With DC you know what you getting into, you know from the trailers this batman v superman was gonna be a political dramatic film after the after math of MOS, you knew the film was following MOS because batman was in the city at the time of the zod & superman battle.

So why go watch the film only to come out knowing what you were about too watch saying its was too dark & too dramatic , its not funny when you knew before going in ?

This to me personal feel like excuss's to bash on a DC film , because i grantee when captain america 3 civil war come out, it will be all sunshine & roses reviews with top marks from those that hated on DC , prove that all the hate toward this dc film is nothing by marvel fanboys that have no clue about the difference between DC & marvel.

These are too separate worlds two different concepts , both have there own quality's & should not been the same as each other because the characters of DC would work in a marvel style film period.

DC is not campy it never has been never will be seriously stop comparing the two & just enjoy the difference between them both. Because right now DC / Warner bro are look at people comment think you bunch of ungrateful whinny ass children.

Zack synder should get more credit for his work because he trying his best to Bring us a DC universe after the other failed film's , it still not good enough for people whinny. if i was DC i would turn around & say were not making any more film's because you being ungrateful.

Zack synder didnt make this film for the critic, he made this film for the true fans that have been wait for two massive fan base iconic characters to come together in a film. So those critics & haters can go be negative somewhere else, because all this negative is gonna back fire on your haters.

Man of steel thoughts & Batman v Superman Opinion's.

Written by Gerry Barnaby

Welcome to Movie Knights in association with SSG Secret society of Gamers movie zone , bringing you an article on the the new Superman film's. Bare in mind this may contain spoilers if you haven't seen Man of steel films.

First of all since ive seen man of steel come out all ive seen is whinny bitching people saying man of steel sucked or this was just a horrible film , with comment like i did contact with this superman , it had no emotional moment's , he destroyed the whole city blur blur blur blur........

These are the typical negative unhappy people that cant help but be negative because a film wasn't done the way they want it to be done or they are just plain & simple marvel fanboys / girl with no other opinion than negative one towards DC.

But I'm about to prove those negative people wrong in explain why Man of steel was good & why Batman v superman is gonna be better ,  no matter how much certain people want to hate on it or be negative toward it because its all a matter of opinion yes , but im based everything off of what ive seen in these film's the way if meant to come across as most people dont understand.

First talk about man of steel comments about it not being emotional , they change superman , they destroy the whole city etc. See now if people put there fan boy comments side & actually look at the film as a whole its brilliantly put together.

Negative comments:

1. The film sucked (not explaining why)
2. There was no emotional content
3. They changes superman
4. The film scene with the tornado didnt make sense
5. He could have saved his father
6. The whole city was destroyed , people died

7. superman doesnt kill

Seriously when i hear all this i just think to myself you truly didnt understand this film at all , to be honest that your own fault at the end of the day for being stuck in the past & not taking the film in , like come on to complain they changed superman really.......

Unless I'm not mistaken the character of superman has had how many change's in the comic books for the past 75 years while keep its origins intact ? your saying moaning that they changed superman  in the film.................ya think about that for a second let that sink in.

The film's first emotional scene that most said didnt have any was the first scene of a child being born & seeing two parents fear & pain of having to send their child across the stars to save his life from the pending doom of krypton.

This for any parent this is one of the hardest things ever, knowing you will never see you child grow up, you never see him walk for the first time, you will never see them become the hero they are destined for. This is the true emotion of this scene & why it was such a powerful moment to start the film off.

Special the scene as the planet is breaking up, this scene had me in tears , Ayelet Zurer performance as Lara Lor-Van was so brilliant & convincing as a mother that it made this scene even more emotionally powerful.

The words from Kelor voiced by actress Carla Gugino  "lady lor, shouldn't you find refuge"
Its these last final words that lor said that touch my heart from a mother that will never see her son again

" there is no refuge , Kelor , jor'l was right, this is the end, make a better world than our kal"

Its these final words from the last moments of kal'el mother that truly made this a fantastic start to the film to which gave it emotion.

Second scene that was emotional was just after the school bus rescue , the scene show's the conflict in young Clark growing up with all these power having this conflict from what he earth father Jonathan Kent played by Kevin Costner saying "you see how she reacted , people are scare of what they dont understand".

Then we get the emotional scene of him say "What was I supposed to do? Just let them die?"

Jonathan "Maybe; but there's more at stake here than our lives or the lives of those around us. When the world... When the world finds out what you can do, it's gonna change everything; our... our beliefs, our notions of what it means to be human... everything. You saw how Pete's mom reacted, right? She was scared, Clark"

Clark " Why?

Jonathan "People are afraid of what they don't understand"

Clark "Is she right? Did God do this to me? Tell me!"

This is a scene where your seeing a young Clark struggle to be normal in a world that would treat you as an enemy because they would be scared of him this is what this scene is portraying perfectly special after when Kent tell him his not from earth it the answer we have been looking for, your the answer to are we alone in the universe.

This portrays a perfect situation for any one that has those power trying to be a kid hiding who he really is but doesnt want to be alone.

The Third emotional scene was the tornado scene , which alot of people didnt quite understand alot were saying well he could of used his speed to save his father but that would have exposed him from what happen with the bus they would have had to explain why he's still alive.

But here the problem to many fan boy's / girl compare this scene with the original superman scene when his earth father has a heart attack.

Now dont get me wrong the original concept back in 1978 superman with Christopher reeves was good for it's time, but this man of steel is a re-imagining story told in a different way which is a good thing , but its clear some people dont like change yet superman story has changed so many time over the years.

Ya in the original he could save is father but in man of steel he could which is a fair point to make , but you have to look at it this way,  Look at how many people were under the bridge not to mention his mother.

Yes im going somewhere with this , Several reason why his father said no:

1.  if he did he would be revealing his powers to everyone, he didnt want to him to reveal himself before the world is ready, that smile & nod was to say good buy im proud of you.

2. The same message as the original apply here to that you cant save everyone

3. Is the one thing staring people in the face that i dont think anyone got that one person life is not as important as the lives of many, some time you have to sacrifice one life to save 1000.

Now i bet you wondering why i said that, well watch the film again how many people were under the bridge , Now if he had gone to save his father they could have died , so in a way Jonathan Kent in this vision sacrificed his life not only to keep his secret but so the others could be saved if need.

This is what i saw with this scene which put a tear in my eye because it was such emotional death scene.

Now one of the most power scene that gave me goosebumps & such an emotional high was the scene when Kal'el first takes flight , now it was funny as first special when he took out half the mountain side when he crashed in to it showing that superman is incredible strong like a body of steel.

But it the part when he take off , the visual effects & the music made this one of the most incredible flight scene ever in a superman film , being a superman fan that scene blow me away.

This is why i dont understand why people dont give Zack Synder credit for making this film its beautiful made, perfect casting as well  , because im not being funny Bryan singer version who i dont rate as a good director when it come to comic book film because he has no vision made a really bad superman return film.

This is the best version we have had in a long time , but now people are attacking Zack Synder  for what he said say that his calms to know what he doing by saying this :

“People are always like ‘You changed Superman.’ If you’re a comic book fan, you know that I didn't change Superman." Snyder said recently. "If you know the true canon, you know that I didn't change Superman."

Now that to me feels like an excuse to pull the film down , not to mention saying that he calm to know is a fan boy / girl thing to say which has no credit what so ever , as proven is in Zack Synders film's.

Zack Synder done amazing casting choice for general zod one of superman most prominent enemies in the DC universe played outstandingly by Michael Shannon , I'll give you reason's why he was a good choice , he has the right look for zod , his acting profile was perfect for this character.

His presence on screen as Zod was perfectly performed special the scene after he get capture on krypton before sent to the phantom zone. The very words he spoke in that judgement court room was given with such a theatrical performance that made it stand out more was the word:

"you think you son is safe , I WILL FIND HIM"

Those words alone with the way he was staring at Lor was a great performance shown just why Michael was the perfect choice , i just dont think you could of go a better actor to play the role the way he did.

This is the other thing that is mention about man of steel superman destroyed the whole city............yet if you actually look at scene by scene on this destruction the damage is contained to the docks area & not the whole city, because there is still a city, this is only 5 block damage radius max ive or take a few damage buildings during the fight scene with zod & superman.

But to say the whole city was destroyed with them fight was a little bit stupid to say really , since it was only a small amount of the city that got destroyed. the other thing as well this wasn't superman doing that was zod's , so anything to blame superman for that is wrong really because he not response for zod's actions.

As for the rest of the cast i think it was brilliant casting it why i think Zack synder knows what he's doing , Amy Adams play Lois brilliant, Laurence Fishburne  play perry white perfect you couldnt get a better casting.

                                  Laurence Fishburne - perry white
Amy Adams - Lois lane

Diane Lane  - Martha Kent                           Christopher Meloni -  Colonel Nathan Hardy

Harry Lennix -                                                               Richard Schiff - Dr. Emil Hamilton
General Swanwick

Now alot of people think the casting for superman was bad which i think these people dont like the fact he being played by British actor Henry Cavil because the superman has been played by american actors. But i happen to actually think Henry Cavil is perfect for superman & was born to play this role from the moment he started acting.

The reason why he was good for the role was because of his life experience trying to get into acting it was a hard struggle for him it was this that humble as an actor made him a perfect choice for superman.

One other villain apart from general zod that stood out was Faora-Ul played by Antje Traue (pandourmHer presence show that Kal wasn't experienced in fighting as show in the film which is good for superman character because it showed he was still a rookie in the superhero thing. But for a villain she was rather hot although dangerous with a military hard set attitude.

                                                               Antje TraueFaora-Ul

Finally we come to the most shocking part of the film that no one seem to like , it was the moment superman killed Zod by snapping his neck , which was unavoidable as zod didnt give him any choice.

Now alot of people have this was stupid they change superman because he doesnt kill , this is just complete non-sense because superman wont take a human life but he would an aliens live if it meant the destruction of the earth so yes in a way superman would kill.

The fact this film gets away with this is because the film isn't called superman, its called man of steel , notice it wasn't called superman in the title until batman v superman that is because this superman in the man of steel is not superman yet & just learning his power & strength to become a better a hero.

Now superman S symbol might seem like a S , which Kal'el mention in man of steel its no a S its a symbol of hope on krypton, the actual S is a snake symbol , ancient Native American symbol Coat of arms of the House of El.

Did you also know that the S shield on henry cavil suit had a slightly hide kryptonian writing on it, its translated :

  "Strength, Justice and Courage",

and the cosmic projections of the Classical Elements are represented by the number "8".

As for Batman v superman there has been a few hater hate on the the film where there as been alot of people praising the film which is bound to happen because it something new.

.
i will admit i was one of those people that shyed away from the notices that Ben Affleck was announced to be playing batman in batman v superman , that's because of the of the whole dare devil film being a disaster , i was on the fence about him play the role.

But as ive since ive seen the trailer's im convinced Ben Affleck was the right choice for batman , just by the way he look in the suit & the way he acts as batman look awesome.

It looks as if Zack has taken a few methods of tactics from the batman arkham knight game , in tactical ambush instead of going through a window or door , we see him come up in the middle of armed thugs & the we see the MMA (mixed martial arts) in play has we see him brutally taking out the arm thugs.

.

As we've seen from from the trailer this is not a batman we've seen before , this version of batman is much older & battle warn. But there seem to be something else gonna on with this character like his complete lost all empathy because this person that deals with thing by any means necessary.

Which is the cause of the brutality on criminals which would suggest that this batman is suffering from P.T.S.D which is blurring the lines between friend & foe , which would suggest why batman see superman as a threat as why we see in the trailer saying this (quote) :

"He has the power to wipe out the entire human race. If we believe there is even a one percent chance that he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty"

There is also something else i noticed in the trailer special with the final trailer, it like he has no fear of death like he welcomes it , which shows a much darker batman which will make this batman the best version.

Now casting for Alfred i think was perfect casting by zack synder with Jeremy Irons playing the role , We get to see a more hands on Alfred in this film clearly seen in the trailer piloting the batwing.

Not only does this character of Alfred feel more involved in Bruce waynes life, he seem to be his mentor & friend trying to get Bruce to see sense , that superman is not their enemy with the quote we here in the trailer:

"You're gonna go to war with the wrong person, his not our enemy,  You know you can't win this. It's suicide"

This feels as if Zack has written Alfred as a very tough person that is the only person that can speak to Bruce with a brash tone & get away with it, like a father figure which is good because i think this will work for his character.

To the people that are complaining this is nothing like the comic books....note one this suit is straight out of the comic book frank millers dark knight returns.

It has been confirmed that the suit is lead line with kryptonite or batman would be just crushed like a tin can going up against the man of steel , which we saw a few scene in the trailer batman giving it the attitude so you know this fight is gonna be epic.

There been a few complain about wonder woman played by Gal Gaddot saying her boobs are to small for the role , which less face it is an unjustified remark to make , because after seeing her in the trailer she look bad ass as wonder woman , it been over 42 years since we've had a wonder woman grace the big screen from 1974 when Cathy Lee Crosby done the Tv movie wonder woman before it became a tv series 1975 with Lynda Carter.

Now from what ive read Zack synder is very big on respecting female characters in his film's it good to hear that he written this version of wonder woman sequel to superman & batman , It shows in the trailer when she take the full blast of something we see her standing in the middle of batman & superman in such a bad ass way.

So this is gonna be interesting to see how the wonder woman solo film will do, the latest we've heard is it set in world war 2 she starring along side Chris pine which is set to be realise 23rd June 2017

Now the doomsday reveal most people have been whinny about so much , its got to the point you dont understand what they are most upset with , like the way he looks or just the fact they revealed him in the trailer.

Now anyone that know their comic books know this is not the final form of doomsday nor was he the spike mutant creature we all know at the begin , because due to he genetics every-time he get killed, he evolves much bigger & more defence with the bone structure so this is not his final form.

My theory is which I'll find out iver Friday or Saturday is the reason why they show doomsday is that he might not be the end villain fight, because there has been said something bigger & more dangerous that doomsday is coming in this film.

So are we about to see Dark sied coming in this film or is this just the nightmare scene of batman dreaming about alien's or is this a future event that could possible happen if batman & superman dont unite together? The question of this scene will be plaguing people until they see the film this coming Thursday for some other Friday.

I'm still not convinced on Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex luthor i think it could of gonna to  a stronger actors like mark strong , but i guess Zack wanted to go with a much younger Lex so we're have to see if he does well in this role im just hoping if he make a mistake it will be over shadow but the rest of the film.

We know this has been confirmed that the flash & aqua-man will be in the film as cameos but its unknown as to whether we will see them in full characters , just a brief mention or on a news paper clip or tv screen. So this will be interesting to see how this is done, but it needs to be done it a way they would be a good cameo to introduce them for the justice league film in 2017.

                                     Ray fisher - Cyborg

Now this is a mystery because the casting list Ray fisher has been casted as cyborg , but i have a feeling he wont be the cyborg yet until the justice league film , i think this will be a cameo in his human form as a football player which could be a possibility but wont know until we see the film.

All in all Batman v superman is the one film, i just cant wait to watch on the 25th march 2016

Poltergeist & its Remake

Written by Gerry barnaby

Welcome to Movie Knights in association with SSG Secret society of Gamers movie zone , bringing you an article on the poltergeist film's. Bare in mind this may contain spoilers if you haven't seen certain films.

Over the years the poltergeist film's have had so many theory of its curse that it meant to have, not to mention the deaths of certain actors from this film , many blame it on the real skeleton that was used in the filming other blame a more darker force at play.

In this article im gonna try drive in to this subject more & explain what truly made this film frightening in some way that actually chilled you to the bone & some true facts about hauntings.

       Craig T. Nelson                     JoBeth Williams
       (Steve Freeling)
   (Diane Freeling)

(R.I.P)  Beatrice Straight                       (R.I.P)  Dominique Dunne
            (Dr. Lesh)                                                 (Dana Freeling)

    Oliver Robins                                  ( R.I.P)  Heather O'Rourke
  (Robbie Freeling)                                 (Carol Anne Freeling)

                                                               (R.I.P )  Zelda Rubinstein

                                                                        ( Tangina )

First we look at the first poltergeist the catylist of the franchise that began the the nightmare for the Freeling family.  Yes some of the scene's in the film were fantasy & arnt actually real which add dramatic effect to the film but the real things in the film were actually real which gave the film its frightening concept.

What made this film truly frightening for any parent is how do you fight something you cant see or cant touch that has punch a hole in reality & taken your child to a world you cant get to unless your dead, now this is the truly frightening concept of this poltergeist film.

Do i agree on the film being a PG ?.... NO !!!! there is a reason why i say no, because although the film description is a fantasy its holds a very frightening aspect to it which is not for children's eye's. Several thing's with this film scream psychological horror for example:

1.  you have the ghost hand that come out of the TV.

2.  you have the child speak to some unknown entity in the TV like it an imaginary friend.
3. you have the ghost that comes down the stairs.
4. The man face melts off.
5. child gets suck in to the cupboard to the other side.
6. The clown toy attack the young boy
7. The tree try to eat the boy.
8. The child screaming about a ugly old man is chilling because you can't help her.

The most creep thing of all are these thing's as well as its spine chilling atmosphere also heart breaking emotions for a parent to go through , throughout the start of the film it set up this creep atmosphere special with the chairs with one scene you see them all laid out like they normal would then next Min they are stack on top of each other perfectly balanced .

Now that's actually a classic poltergeist trick in real life, ya i know what you thinking ghost dont exist, well unfortunately they do your just haven't experience anything yet or your ignoring things to notice the thing around, this is what poltergeist do they play trick with you to scare you.

Thing like this happen to some one some where in the world everyday, it the most frightening experience ever , with the poltergeist film it step beyond those reality as we come to find out that the house is built on graves that were moved.
This is rare but sometime common when contracts get lazy & dont what to spend money on removing graves they only remove the grave stones , this is a cause & effect in common haunting when you disturb a grave you disturb the soul the place becomes haunted because you laid a foundation on top of it which all the magnetic currants from electricity it feed off this which cause's disturbances this why you get hauntings.

But this is when this film gets its most chilling moment that gave me the chill's i mean cold shiver down my spine chill's it was from the quote that Zelda Rubinstein said who sadly pasted away in  January 27, 2010  age 76 , the quote was the most creep quote of any horror film first she saying this

But this is when this film gets its most chilling moment that gave me the chill's i mean cold shiver down my spine chill's it was from the quote that Zelda Rubinstein said who sadly pasted away in  January 27, 2010  age 76 , the quote was the most creep quote of any horror film first she saying this :

"There is no death. There is only a transition to a different sphere of consciousness. Carol Anne is not like those she's with. She is a living presence in their spiritual earthbound plane.
They are attracted to the one thing about her that is different from themselves - her life-force. It is very strong. It gives off its own illumination. It is a light that implies life and memory of love and home and earthly pleasures, something they desperately desire but can't have any more. Right now, she's the closest thing to that, and that is a terrible distraction from the real LIGHT that has finally come for them.
You understand me? These souls, who for whatever reason are not at rest, are also not aware that they have passed on. They're not part of consciousness as we know it. They linger in a perpetual dream state, a nightmare from which they can not awake. Inside the spectral light is salvation, a window to the next plane.
They must pass through this membrane where friends are waiting to guide them to new destinies. Carol Anne must help them cross over, and she will only hear her mother's voice."

But that not the creepiest thing she said it was this last bit that put a chill down my spine it was this:

"Now hold on to yourselves... There's one more thing.

A terrible presence is in there with her. So much rage, so much betrayal, I've never sensed anything like it. I don't know what hovers over this house, but it was strong enough to punch a hole into this world and take your daughter away from you.

It keeps Carol Anne very close to it and away from the spectral light. It LIES to her, it tells her things only a child could understand. It has been using her to restrain the others. To her, it simply IS another child. To us, it is the BEAST "

That is the most frightening thing to hear that you child life is in the hand of a demonic beast, for any parent feel helpless this is what made this film frightening.

It wasn't until poltergeist 2 the other side where we see what the poltergeist was that was haunting the family & took Carol Ann, this is where it gets even more creepy when were introduce to the beast himself in human form the priest Kain played by Julian Beck .
who sadly past way on
September 14, 1985 age 60, this was the most outstanding performance of poltergeist 2 to give's it's creepy unwavering tone special with that creepy song song he sung walking up the road to the house ;

What special good about this poltergeist 2 is we get this glimpse of the past of who kain was & what he done, so we got this better understand of why he became this beast.

See in paranormal aspect this is a term called earth bound to long where a spirit has become so dark itself it lose everything human that it once was to become this dark entity, now in Kain case this is what is called feeding off the souls of those that died with him to become extremely powerful, which some how allowed him to punch a hole in reality & take Carol Ann.

This indicated that kain was no longer a human spirit & became a demonic beast like entity strong enough to hold on to a supernatural force because its refused to turn to the light wont let the other cross over because he discover they fuel himself.

This is where manipulation is involved in the film, Kain doesnt want to go into the light, he was carol's light to keep the other soul in check, this was the whole concept of the film , this is because the character of carol Ann is a medium or emapth with a uncorrupted soul which is the spirit world will glow bright.

This is why Kain has come back for her because he need her to keep the other soul with him to fuel him ,  Julian Beck just had one of those presence just like the way Doug Bradley had with pin head, just the presence alone was pure evil just by the way he look which was perfect for the film concept.

With poltergeist 2 it stray more in to the realm of fantasy horror that reality which works for the film, only this time is a battle of wits, see Kain know what make them stronger & what make them weak he this time instead of going after Carol Ann direct , he goes after the family trying to break them down, in order to grab & keep carol Ann forever.

.
                                                                  Kain in beast form

The was a clever sequel because rehash the original story, it had continuity which make this a unique sequel as once again the family is put against the beast itself, with the help of Taylor Indian chief that knowns how to battle spirits. Will Sampson sadly past away

                                                                   (R.I.P)  Will Sampson
                                                                              (Taylor)

As we come to know Taylor in poltergeist 2, we get to see he teaching the family the value of unity & strength which is actually happen the family be strong so when the beast trys to get carol Ann the family's unity will be strong enough it can be broken, this is why this entity wants to break.

Here we come to the 3rd film that used every possible creepy way to unnerve you complete, the one thing that we normal use everyday in our live's they turn in to a nightmare.....yes im talking about mirrors.

This was the clever concept of the 3rd film because the spirit world is like a mirror image of the real dark world beyond reflection, which is use to its full effect that is not only creepy but unsettling.
Only this time the carol uncle & ant come face to face with evil as kain is back.

What's spooky is the visual effect of this film which are brilliant done in the way you would see thing happen in the mirrors reflection that not happening in reality which just made this such an unnerving film to watch.

The cast with this one is pretty good as well you have the older cousin played by
Lara Flynn Boyle who play Donna Gardner the daughter Bruce Gardner played by Tom Skerritt

                          Lara Flynn Boyle                                                      Tom Skerritt

Then you have the other casting ( robocop ) Nancy Allen  playing ant Patricia Wilson-Gardner or as carol Ann like to call her ant trici which she hated being called in the film. Then you had Kipley Wentz play Scott the boy friends of Donna in film.

Nancy Allen                                                                        Kipley Wentz

Of course a film isn't with out it sceptical person who believe that everything is in the mind it just a power of manipulation & ghost or spirits arnt real this person is
Dr. Seaton played by Richard Fire, only this time the beast / entity Reverend Henry Kane is played by Nathan Davis

                 Nathan Davis                                                       Richard Fire

The one thing that set this film above the other is it just unnerving atmosphere with the mirror like most scene when you got
Tom Skerritt character talking to his wife in the mirror doing his tie up, but as he walks off the reflection Bruce Gardner is still in the mirror stand there staring when he walk halfway down the corridor, she noticed just as the reflection moved after 6 second, she could believe what she just saw, she was double checking,  now that was creepy.

The are other moments at a party with
Patricia when she sit down you heard the really unnerving voice with an evil chucking laugh say "ant trici" you see the reflection in the mirror of the sculpture head turn around  in was the most creepiest thing ever.

This time the poltergeist is able to control the building & turn it in to its own person play ground of paranormal activity to gain strength to get carol Ann once again. It starts of with the small thing that into full blown supernatural fight, as once against carol Ann is take.

                                                   (R.I.P ) Heather o'rourke
                                       December 27, 1975 - February 1, 1988

Heather Michele O'Rourke was born on December 27, 1975 in Santee, San Diego, California, to Kathleen, a seamstress, and Michael O'Rourke, a construction worker. She had German, Danish, English, and Irish ancestry.
Heather entered American cinematic pop-culture before first grade.
She was sitting alone in the MGM Commissary waiting for her mother when a stranger approached her asking her name. "My name is Heather O'Rourke," she said. "But you're a stranger, and I can't talk to you". When her mother returned, the stranger introduced himself as Steven Spielberg.

She failed her first audition when she laughed at a stuffed animal Spielberg presented her with. He thought she was just too young (she had just turned five), and he was actually looking for a girl at least 6 years old, but he saw something in her and asked her to come in a second time with a scary story book. He asked her to scream a lot. She screamed until she broke down in tears.

The next day at the commissary, Spielberg told her and her family, "I don't know what it is about her, but she's got the job." She instantly became a star overnight and was easily recognized at her favorite theme park, Disneyland, and everywhere in California.

In the years that followed, Heather was a familiar face on TV in Happy Days (1974) (1982-1983), Webster (1983) (1983-1984), and The New Leave It to Beaver (1983) (1986-1987), three shows in which she had recurring roles. In 1986, the highly anticipated sequel to her first movie, Poltergeist (1982), Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986) debuted in theatres; it was her riveting performance in this film that cemented her a place in Hollywood history.

She went on to star in the last film she ever made Poltergeist 3 which she sadly past away after filming the film.
In January of 1987, Heather began to have flu-like symptoms and her legs and feet swelled. She was taken to Kaiser Hospital, and they confirmed it was only the flu , but when symptoms continued, they diagnosed her as having rare child Crohn's Disease, a chronic inflammation of the intestine.
She was on medication throughout the filming of her next project, Poltergeist III (1988), and her cheeks were puffy in some scenes. She never complained during filming and did not appear sick to fellow cast members but during surgery sadly pasted away
February 11988. God bless her soul.

According to an interview with her mum on the poltergeist film's,  it seem that
Heather o'rourke had her own paranormal event happen, as she said to her mum right before she went in to surgery she said to her mum  "its ok mummy, i have to go but i have someone with me" like she was reassuring her mum it was ok like something was with he possible an angel or family who knows but she past away sadly a few hours into the surgery.

The Cures of poltergeist

According to a few people they say that doing the poltergeist film cursed a few actors, now whether this is just a consistence or a real curse its unsure as the film exorcist seem to have some mysterious things happen with the set burning down & the crew dying in a plane crash.

We all know the urban legend that surrounds the Poltergeist film series; it's one of the most repeated amongst film fans. But the truth behind the curse was never known until now.
So let me refresh your memory about the creepy curse that dogged Poltergeist and its cast. In total, FIVE cast members died in unexpected circumstances in the years following the film's production.
It started with the brutal murder of actress Dominique Dunne - who played Dana Freeling in the first movie - by her boyfriend in 1982.

Then came the tragic death of child star Heather O'Rourke, who played Dana's younger sister Carol Anne, at age 12. O'Rourke died from cardiac arrest following a misdiagnosed case of stenosis.

More deaths followed, including the director of the second Poltergeist film Brian Gibson at the age of 59. Then, 10 years after he starred in the first film, actor Richard Lawson survived a plane crash in which 27 people died.

There's no doubt that the cast of Poltergeist seem particularly plagued by disease and misfortune. But I had always put it down to coincidence. Until now.
This video throws everything into new light - by revealing the deadly error Steven Spielberg made during production of the first movie. A mistake that would cost those involved in the project their lives.

Now is there truth in this curse well some say there is other say no, but that is up to you to decide?

In 2015 we get a complete new remake of the franchise but bring something new to the table, Unlike the original, this seem to be set a few year after the event of the first poltergeist film with a different family,  so it a way you could call it a sequel but it is a remake.

            Sam Rockwell                                       Rosemarie DeWitt
             (Eric Bowen)                                          (Amy Bowen)

        Saxon Sharbino                                                   Kyle Catlett
       (Kendra Bowen )                                               (Griffin Bowen)

Kennedi Clements
(Madison Bowen)

                Jared Harris                                                                 Jane Adams
            (Carrigan Burke)                                                         (Dr. Brooke Powell)

   Nicholas Braun                 Susan Heyward

                              (Boyd)                                                                                   (Sophie)

Although it dose hold itself to the original film the original film will always be the best , but it good that they didnt rehash this whole story scene for scene it was done in a different way. Now with carol Ann character in the original she was sucked into that world, where this remake she was lured into the cupboard with a toy.

The film does have some creepy moments although it best to watch the extended version of this remake because it make more sense that what they showed at the cinema , special with comic book visual effects one Min they were all in the box, next Min they are stack like a pack of card before it explodes into a shower of comic books.

Although if you compare the clown attack scene with both films , i will say that the original poltergeist film had the edge as it was a little predictable.

There were a few new things add this this version is work that was the laundry room ghost coming out the floor that was pretty frightening , along with the seeing the other side as well like you were seeing a mirror image of the house but it the spirit world, it was like seeing something out of hell-raiser, it was freaky .

If you do compare the two film they are similar in way but also different in others, which is why the new poltergeist movie is great not perfect, but still fun to watch.
